KNX SERIAL 870

The KNX Serial Interface BAOS 870 serves as a simple integration solution for non-KNX devices. Designed as an RS-232 interface, the KNX Serial 870 uses the FT1.2 (PEI 10) protocol as message format. In addition, the device supports the BAOS protocol for accessing data points. This allows non-KNX devices to be fully integrated into a KNX network via an RS-232 connection. For a quick start, a demo tool is available as well as an ETS listing with 250 group objects. In addition, individual ETS representations can be created for OEM versions.

Object server functionality
For an increasing number of devices, such as in the fields of multimedia and security technology, the exchange of control information with building automation is important. However, for some devices it is better not to access the BUS directly. Instead, a connection to KNX can be made via RS-232.
